Oceanbotics SRV-8 is normally equipped with 100 - 400m communication cable fast
Ethernet on the drum. Since only the communication needs to be transmitted by cable it doesn't weigh very much. The powerful lithium batteries provide an operating time of over 6 hours.
Oceanbotics SRV-8 can also be fitted with fibers up to 5000 meters in length which is currently being used in large tunnel jobs in Australia. The supplied control box has one prepared connection for fiber on delivery and a fiber converter can be connected directly on SRV-8 underside. Fiber can be supplied on fabric or with different cable drums.
Fiber electric cable drums can be used to simplify work but it also works to manually roll fiber up and out on a regular drum.
