The topside control console with standard Xbox controller or an ergonomic flight stick provides intuitive operation for any marine professional. This high performance battery-powered ROV features an intuitive operating system, dual camera (HD/Analog), 305 meter depth rating, and 1500 lumen LED lights on a customizable platform, serving a multitude of applications in any underwater condition. The SRV-8 acts as a window in the water for marine observation and deep water exploration.

The SRV-8 is built to be easily handled by one person. The weight of the SUB is only 17.7 kg and can be quickly lowered in the water from any boat or dock. Battery operation eliminates the need for generators or power outlets, therefore fewer units are needed on site and you avoid the noise and exhaust from gasoline-power sources.
The batteries are wired to be quick-swapping and by having several charged battery packs, the operating time can be increased from 6 hours at any time, depending on the number of extra battery packs.
Oceanbotics SRV-8 integrates with many different accessories. Sonar, navigation and tracking systems, cleaning tools, and multiple manipulators for different applications. With its communication ports for Ethernet, RS232 / RS485, the SRV-8 is open to optional sensors and accessories.

SRV-8 ROV MDV (Mine Disposal Vehicle)

This field-tested vehicle will detect and eliminate explosive mine threats quickly
and efficiently, utilizing ECS Special Projects’ Viper MDS technology for neutralizing improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The SRV-8 MDV’s ease of use and adaptive software will allow commercial and naval EOD teams to locate and neutralize mine threats quickly.
Operators will first use the SRV-8 MDV’s state-of-the-art imaging sonar to detect
the mine threat. Upon reaching the mine, the Viper MDS will secure the charge disruptor to the mine. The operator will then navigate the vehicle away from
the mine threat while deploying a shock tube that remains connected to the ROV.
By activating the charge through the shock tube, the operator will effectively neutralize the mine threat, ensuring the safety of both personnel and the ROV.
The SRV-8 MDV has a NATO Stock Number and represents a significant advancement in mine disposal systems, where revolutionary technology is paired with unmatched ease of use. This new Special Purpose Vehicle prioritizes diver safety and enhances operational efficiency, making the SRV-8 MDV a necessary addition to any EOD dive team.
Customize The SRV-8 ROV for Any Mission
Designed to tackle a wide variety of missions, the SRV-8 underwater drone can be used for inspecting infrastructure such as bridges, piers and pipelines, or deployed in a search and recovery mission with equal ease.
And, while this ROV is fully capable in its basic configuration, its utility can be enhanced with accessories available from RJE International, Oceanbotics™ or third parties. Oceanbotics™ offers optional grabber arms and precision R-Nav or R-Nav Pro navigation systems.
