With high usability in mind, the autonomous SONOBOT unmanned surface vehicle was developed to provide surveyors, service providers and researchers with a smart lightweight solution for hydrographic surveys and other applications in harbors and inland waters.

Sonobot 5 is also available in NATO standard, adapted for the military. Equipped with object recognition for search and mapping etc.

SONOBOT design objectives were usability, robustness and versatility, paired with high-performance of the on-board sensors.

SONOBOT is a small, simple and usable platform for planning and executing a hydrographic survey that can deliver accurate geo-referenced bathymetric measurements and high-quality imagery with minimum transport, launch and recovery efforts.

MULTIBEAM DATA:

The Multibeam for SONOBOT USV is an entry-class multibeam sonar with a professional approach. It comes with a high-grade dual GNSS and INS positioning and motion control which is standard for all Norbit echosounders. With 256 beams at 1.45°x1°, a range of over 200 m, and a ping rate of 50 Hz, this system enables professional surveillance that complies with the IHO’s S-44 standard.

The Multibeam is a tailored solution for the Sonobot 5 platform. It offers the advantages of multibeam riverbed mapping in a compact and lightweight unit that seamlessly integrates with the vehicle.
